It is a great pleasure and honor for Óbudai Társaskör to be the venue of choice for today's significant musicians for their birthday concerts.

Zoltán Takács, the concertmaster of the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra chose us as well. The artist, who started in Budapest, returns to his home city to celebrate his 60th birthday, inviting the audience with his old friends and felllow musicians to a concert.

Zoltán Takács graduated from the Budapest Music Academy in 1983. His teachers were: Mária Vermes, János Pallagi, Vilmos Tatras and Semyon Issaewits Snitkovsky. He attended masterclasses by Ruggiero Ricci and Endre Gertler and worked with the concert masters of the Basel Chamber Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra Brenton Langbein and Christopher Warren-Green which had a significant impact on his professional carreer. He studied orchestral conducting under Atso Almila (Sibelius Academy) and János Fürst (Conservatoire de Paris). The violinist and chamber musician has toured the United States, Venezuela, Peru, South Korea, Japan and Australia as a soloist and a member of chamber music orchestras.

The artist brings two popular masterpieces to his birthday concert. Among his fellow musicians we can welcome János Fejérvári, who also celebrated with us recently, and second prize winner of this year's Bartók World Competition Ádám Balogh.
