GUITAR MUSIC IN ÓBUDA
Featuring: Csaba Szabó - guitar

Series editor and host: Ede Roth
Solo guitar works by Agustin Barrios, Joaquin Rodrigo, and Francisco Tárrega
One of the most popular guitar pieces of the 20th century sets the tone of the concert, then we become acquainted with Rodrigo's other, less frequently played concerto.
In the second part, we can hear compositions by the Spanish composer and guitarist Francisco Tárrega Eixea, founder of today's classical guitar technique, and then the works of the most influential Paraguayan guitarist of the first half of the 20th century, Agustín Pío Barrios.
Csaba Szabó was born in Veszprém and was a student of Ede Roth at the Győr College of Music.
After receiving his diploma, he completed two more years under the tutelage of Zoltán Tokos. He began teaching in Veszprém, and has been a guitar teacher at Pál Járdányi Primary Art School in Budapest since 2001.
He gave solo performances several times at Óbudai Társaskör, at the Nádor Hall and in Slovakia. He performs chamber music and often accompanies his wife Györgyi Avvakumovits.
