DRONE SCULPTURES
An Exhibition by Ágnes Előd
Since 2016, technology has enabled the creation of floating light sculptures that can change their shape. The light sources are attached to drones developed by CollMot Robotics, which was established by researchers of the Department of Physics at ELTE University. The drones are controlled by the 3D animations I have made. I make the sculptures in two ways: in the first type, the change of shapes can be followed live, the second is not recognizable with the naked eye, but can be revealed by long exposure shots. Due to the technology, the size of the sculptures is very large, they travel a distance of 100 to 200 meters in diameter. Therefore, it is only possible to show them together as a video documentation or as a print. The exhibition at Óbudai Társaskör will be the first time we show the complete material.
Open Tuesday–Sunday between 3pm–7pm
