HUNGARIAN MUSEUM OF TRADE AND TOURISM

The Hungarian Museum Of Trade And Tourism is the only museum of its kind in the world. Its exhibition material has been collected from all over of Hungary. The museum was founded in 1966 and first opened its doors in the World Heritage Buda Castle, in the building of the former Fortuna Inn, after which the street was also named, where it was in operation until 2005. In September, 2006, the museum moved to District V, next to the Saint Stephen Basilica, in a building designed by Béla Lajta (formerly housing the Hungarian Foreign Trade Bank). Now it is located at Óbuda, in District III.

"I never had a home..." – scenes of the life of novelist Gyula Krúdy Gyula (exhibition)

Krúdy's last apartment, where he spent the last three years of his life and where he died, houses the exhibition. One of its two rooms evokes the atmosphere of hotels  and homes, the other those of his favorite restaurants.
