Today's concert starts with Beethoven's teacher Haydn's Trio in G major from the rich repertoire of the Szabadi-Onczay-Falvai Trio who have been playing together every year at the Gifu Festival in Japan for 15 years. During the evening, two of Beethoven’s rarely played but remarkably significant trios will also be performed. The artists pay tribute to the 250th anniversary of the composer’s death with the op. 1 and op. 97, two of Beethoven’s masterpieces, which are far apart in time and style.
