MUSIC IN THE GARDEN

At Óbudai Társaskör there is no summer without a Snétberger concert. The exceptional guitarist and composer who crosses genre boundaries with ease gives full-house concerts in the garden every year. To avoid sadness at seeing a "sold out" sign we are getting two concerts this year. Ferenc Snétberger's music is inspired by Hungarian gipsy music as well as Brazilian music, flamenco, classical music, and jazz. Besides giving concerts - not forgetting his roots - the artist carries out a wonderful mission with the Snétberger Music Talent Center. For eight years, the institution has been looking for and training special musical talents from within and around the borders of Hungary to give them personalized jazz and classical music training in the center which is located in Felsőörs in the Balaton Highlands. On April 8, 2019, the Spanish Institute for Roma Culture awarded Ferenc Snétberger with the New Artist Award on the International Roma World Day, which the artist received at the Prado Museum in Madrid.
