Frigyes Hidas: Harpsichord Concerto
Featuring: Borbála Dobozy - harpsichord
Händel: concerto Grosso in B major, op. 6/7
The baroque music series of the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra opens with an opera overture, and exceptionally talented children violinists play with the world-famous chamber orchestra.
The plus mentioned in the title of the program is a contemporary piece, in this case a harpsichord concerto of Frigyes Hidas dedicated to Borobála Dobozy. This light-hearted work will convince its listener not to be afraid of contemporary music.
Liszt Prize-winning harpsichordist Borbála Dobozy is an associate professor at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, and under whose direction the harpsichord faculty was established at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Szeged. President of the Foundation of the Hungarian Bach Society, she is one of the main organizers of the annual Budapest Bach Week.
