How does one approach modern music? Are there catchy tunes in contemporary pieces? What challenges do these works have for their performers and listeners? And how did great composers of past centuries imagine 20th and 21st century music? We are looking for answers to these questions, among others, in the 3-part concert series of Óbudai Társaskör while traveling in the classical world of modern music with the help of exciting musical instruments. The first instrument to accompany us on our journey, the saxophone, fits almost every musical genre. Joining our guide Szilvia Becze for our February concert is Tamás Dunai, an actor also known as a clarinetist and saxophonist, who, in addition to his own experiences in concert, will talk about the notes and opinions of the artists of the past. Music is provided by the country's leading artists, celebrated on international stages, at this first concert, the Budapest Saxophone Quartet.
