Introduction by Máté Hollós, President of the Hungarian Composers' Association

A hundred years ago, following a history of adversity, Poland gained its independence, then was later torn by World War II. On the occasion of the Centenary, the Polish Composers' Association organizes a Central European concert series, whose program is the same as our evening's and includes a local composition in every country. These Polish works date back to the turn of the 20th century, including a near classic piece by one of the most popular contemporary Polish composers, Krauze, and pieces by two of his younger colleagues. Well acqauinted with Polish music, László Király's composition places us on the pages of Hungarian history.

Funded by the Polish Ministry of Culture for the period 2017-2021, funded under the "Independence" program, through the "Cultural Bridges" plan.

Joint Concert of the Polish Composers' Association and the Hungarian Composers' Association
