Magdi Bódy and the Freedom Band

Magdi Bódy's birthday concert is sure to feature You are so Beautiful, Summertime and other such revered evergreens. The award-winning jazz diva started her career at the Children's Choir of the Hungarian Radio and continued as a pop-jazz singer. After her success in Hungary she lived in Canada and America where she learned a lot from working with stars such as Aretha Franklin, Liza Minelli, and Cindy Lauper. She has also written music with Michael Bolton and has produced several albums with the excellent Special EFX band. From the queen of soul Aretha Franklin she learned: we do not sing for ourselves, not even just the audience, but God is always present. No wonder gospel singers feel no boundaries, their voices soar to the sky. Magdi Bódy invited talented musicians to her joyful party, the members of Freedom Band play classical music just as exceptionally well as jazz.
