FOUR CLINKING GLASSES

20th Anniversary of the Blue Danube Concert-Salon Orchestra with Guest Artists

Artistic Director: Sándor Berki

The band's history started in November 1997 in Budapest. Violinist Sándor Berki found the companions he was looking for: Róbert Kassai (piano), Richárd Bánzi (cello) and Jenő Puporka (double bass).

He set the bar high: he only invited artists with a degree from the Music Academy who are familiar with the concert repertoire of both salon music and classical music. He needed a pinch of humor to make the atmosphere of the concert hall fun. Audiences in London, Munich, Moscow, Paris, New York, Germany and Israel have applauded them.

They are connected to Óbudai Társaskör with many ties and had numerous great performances here. They have been part of the most successful productions of the last years and for a long time they have been ringing in the new year with their full house New Year concerts accompanied by some champagne. They have invited friends to celebrate their birthday with: their favorite singing soloists and the audience.

In addition to great music, a shared meal is served to heighthen the mood: you can taste the band's favorite food (cooked by the band leader himself) in the break or after the concert with a spritzer, at a reasonable price. And then you will hear who knows how many glasses clinking...
