"The Figaro was revolution in action. Said Napoleon referring to the Baumarchais comedy from which Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" originated. Well, this work, in which the servant triumphs over the master, was really the forerunner of the revolution."

The Story:"Count Almaviva, who in the Barber of Seville had only fallen for beautiful Rosina, is now her husband. The bond of marital fidelity - the Chain of Hymen - begins to loosen: the count also loves looking at other women, especially his wife's maid, Susanna. The girl, however, intends to marry the crafty barber Figaro, who had a lot to do with the fact that Almaviva and Rosina had come together. The Count attempts to prevent this marriage in various ways: he does not relinquish his jus primae noctis, he encourages old Marcellinate, whom Figaro had previously promised to marry, to enforce her rights - and so on. He is jealous of his esquire Cherubino who, in his clumsy way, flirts with every woman he sees. Susanna and the Countess are no exception. The desperate Countess, the disgruntled Figaro and the "endangered" Susanna, with clever tricks, changing clothes, all kinds of misunderstanding, clear the air: the exposed - and slightly mortified - count is content with his wife, Figaro can finally marry Susanna and Cherubino finds his pair. In the meantime, Marcellina turns out to have had a love affair with one of the major troublemakers Bartolo, and Figaro is their illegitimate child. And she can not demand that her son should marry ... "
